Gold Threads

Gold threads hold us as we cling to our friends when the dark pulls at our clothes.
Silver hold us to the tree of sanity with fingertips callused and scarred.
Braid gold and silver hold us firm at the brink of destruction to watch.
We stand by as the world burns,
Spinning the web for us to dance upon
The web that will catch us as we fall from on high.
All the times that we were abused.
Made us strong enough to hold back our laughter as the world burns.

Be aware of us for we are stronger than you think.
Loved beyond measure
and protected beyond words.
We stand at the edge of destruction and laugh,
For who can kill us? We alone can die before we live.

We cling to the silver thread of tree branches.
Watching, laughing for what have we to fear of fire?
Just because we are scared does not mean anything
WE foraged OURSELVES from pain and sorrow.
We the broken, the mocked, the cursed:

Are stronger and braver than you will ever know because we have danced with fire and lived.

End

We stood at the edge of destruction and laughed at you as you burned.
We clung to the branches and danced as the world ended in fire, ash, and dust.
There is nothing more than ash, as far as the eye can see.
We once again lie dormant waiting,
Waiting for the world to kick-start itself again.
So that we may at last take to the sky on wings of ash and dust.
I suppose this is fitting, to become stars to fall again when the end is nigh.

Our contribution to the beautiful impossible universe that you inhabited.

Reconing

Sparks shower from their hands.
The end is at hand.
You have made the mistake of giving in for giving up too often.
Sometimes fire merely stays dormant, waiting for an ill placed spark.
Be aware of the ones you underestimate; they will be your reckoning.
Be aware of them: the broken whom are whole, the mocked whom are loved, the cursed whom are beloved.
For eventually you will burn by their hand
They will to nothing but laugh and dance as you burn
For all the times that you hurt them.
Be aware of the quiet ones for they see more than you think, feel greater than you know, and care for more than you can imagine.
They cannot be captured, they cannot be bound, and they cannot be killed
For they will not bow to your will, and die.
They alone have the honour to kill themselves before they live.
You cannot right the wrongs you have done to them, they will see only lies and tricks.
This is your recompense for the wrongs you have done them.

Fire

The edge of destruction is where you will find us: the broken whom are whole, the mocked whom are loved, the cursed whom are beloved.
We are the end of the world as you know it, we are too fast to be caught, too strong to be bound, too powerful to be killed.
We will not bow to you, for you have as yet to earned the right to stand above us.
We will watch you burn and laugh.
For all that you might hate us,
You still need us to make you feel strong and mighty.
Your strength is derived from making others feel weak even when you are nothing more than shadow and dust.
Be aware of us for the end is nigh and you will pay in blood for the wrongs you have done us.
For we will play with fire

and dance as you burn.

Ledge

We hold to the tree of sanity with finger tips callused and scarred.
We cling to our friends when the dark pulls at our cloths.
Yet, here we stand firm at the brink of destruction and watch.
We stand by as the world burns,
For all the time that we were abused.
It made us strong enough to hold back our laughter as the world burns.
Be aware of us for we are stronger than you think.
Loved beyond measure
and protected beyond words.
We stand at the edge of destruction and laugh,
For who can kill us? We alone can die before we live.
We cling to the tree branches
Watching, laugh for what have we to fear of fire?
Just because we are scared does not mean anything
WE fourged OURSELVES from pain and sorrow.
We the broken, the mocked, the cursed:
Are stronger and braver than you will ever know because we have danced with fire and lived.

FictionMingle Profile#1

Hey guys! So I've decided I'm going to start a segment called FictionMingle (yes, that is a reference to a certain dating site). Basically, every installment will feature a new fictional character that is completely
dateable! I'll explain why they're amazing, and see if you all agree! Most of them will probably be male, but I'll throw in a couple girls for the fanboys out there occasionally. Oh, and if the character doesn't have a real-world person representing them yet (i.e. Josh Hutcherson for Peeta, etc.), I'll give them one! So without further ado, the first FictionMingle candidate:

Meet Fang from the Maximum Ride series, as portrayed by Avan Jogia. Fang is the personification of "dark, brooding, strong, and silent." Like the rest of the flock, his DNA was crossed with a bird's as a fetus, and as such, he has strange qualities. For example, he has giant black wings, speculated to be from either a crow or a raven. These wings, combined with other changes in his body structure such as hollow bones, allow him to fly. He's described at one point as looking like an angel of death.

In case you were wondering, he's also completely badass. There's quite a few aerial fight scenes in the series, and you see that he has no problem using any means necessary to win a fight. He also tends to be the one who controls the flock. Despite his love interest Max being the actual leader, he does quite a bit of leading himself.

In short, Fang is one dangerous(ly sexy) guy. He's like the Batman of the series, only hotter and more caring (although he doesn't like to admit that last one).

If you want to get to know Fang a bit more, go read the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. It's an amazing series for more than just Fang, and I'm sure you'll all enjoy it. Oh, and there's talk of a movie adaption, so you can all look forward to that, as well! Until next time!
