When In Doubt... Sing!

Whenever I find a need to express my feelings, I express them in the form of a song. Just to clarify, I don't actually write music or anything like that, but I do take songs and change the lyrics inside my head to match whatever mood I'm in. So for you entertainment, here are the lyrics to my own version of the Broadway version of "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid. Feel free to play the song in the background and try singing along. It's not perfect, but feel free to comment afterwords.
NOTE: I DO NOT OWN THE SONG, IT'S ORIGINAL LYRICS, OR THE RIGHTS TO ANYTHING DOCTOR WHO.

Being a fangirl
It's really neat
Wouldn't you think your life is complete
When you obsessed over your
Favorite shows, movies, and books

Look at my list
Of fandoms galore
How much excitement can one fangirl hold?
Look at me and start to think
Sure, she's a fan of everything

I've read books with adventure and romance
I've watched shows for hours into the night
You want the Disney fandom?
I'm totally in.
But there is one fandom that
I'm not part of.

I wanna be where you Whovians are
I wanna see, wanna see the Doctor
Travel through time in his...
What does he call it? Oh, TARDIS

There in that fandom
I can join my friends
And we will all start laughing, quoting
"Bow ties are cool" and "Don't..."
What are you not supposed to do? "Blink!"

And when I turn
My Netflix on
Doctor Who's recommended for me
What will they think
If I become part of this fandom.

What would I give
If I could talk in a British accent.
What would I pay
To spend a day just watching the show.

So I can catch up
With all my friends
And hear them say
"You are now a Whovian"
Then we could sit there, all together
Watching the show.

And getting to know Doctor number Twelve
Join him on all his adventures and wonder
Will he be cool and will he have any, memorable
Quotes?

Can I please have time
Time to watch and to explore that fandom out there?

Just wait and see
One day I'll be
Part of this world.

Destiel AU Fanfic

Hello again! I'm back to write yet another fanfic, this time for another one of my OTP's: Destiel! Destiel is a ship from Supernatural, and is made up of Dean Winchester and Castiel, the Fallen Angel. I'm going to take a quick note here: I am not completely caught up with Supernatural, and I only have a slight experience with Castiel. So, looking at that, my Castiel character might be complete crap. But, it might not be, so you'll have to read to find out! In order to minimize the damage, I made it an AU, or Alternate Universe. Setting: Dean and Cas are two high schoolers who have been best friends for as long as they can remember. Dean was always the outgoing, popular type, while Cas grew up to be more reserved, thoughtful. I'm not sure where I'm going to go with this, it might just be fluffy and only preslash. I might even add more to this one later. So here it is:

NOTE: I DO NOT OWN SUPERNATURAL, ANY CHARACTERS PICTURED HERE (EXCEPT FOR THE TATTOO GIRL) OR ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS FANFIC. IT IS THE PROPERTY OF WHOEVER OWNS SUPERNATURAL.

"I don't know, Dean. It seems a bit of an 'in the moment' thing. We'll probably regret this later," Cas said, unsure.
"Come on, Cas. It's spontaneous. Don't tell me your chicken," Dean challenged.
Cas hesitated, looking up at the sign above. The two buddies stood in a crowded mall. They had been walking around when Dean had stopped Cas suddenly, pointing at a store across the hallway they were in.

PERMA-TAT TATTOO PARLOR

Cas gulped. "I really am not sure about this. Can't we just get a temporary one? Look, there's a Henna Tattoo place on the other side of the mall. Let's just go there."
Dean frowned. "Dude, really? Temporary Henna's are lame. Come on." He grabbed Cas's arm and tugged him in.
Strong, Cas noted. When had he gotten so strong? Dean had been working out more lately. Cas hadn't really noticed, but it obviously had paid off a bit.
Cas looked around the place. It had tattoo symbols on posters all over the walls, and a bunch of chairs in a scattered arrangement around the room. It wasn't nearly as intimidating as Cas had imagined. He shrugged and walked in further, following Dean to the check-in desk at the back of the store.
The girl at the desk frowned at them. "You here for tats?" she drawled out in a thick Southern accent.
Dean smiled that smile at her, that smile that won everyone over. Cas felt a tinge of jealousy. Why did she get the smile? They had only just met!
The girl smiled back. "All righty then."
She took them through the process of signing a waiver, and then brought them to a seat.
   "What'll it be?"
Dean looked at Cas, and Cas began to inwardly freak out. He couldn't do this, his mother would kill him, everyone would talk at school, he might get hurt, anything could go wrong. He slightly shook his head at Dean.
   "I- I can't do this," he mumbled.
"What do you mean?" Dean gave Cas a wounded look. It broke Cas's heart, seeing Dean so hurt, but the fear of the tattoo kept his resolve strong.
   "I just can't."
Dean frowned. "But- I thought we could get the same one, and then we'd be friends forever. That kind of girly bullcrap kind of thing."
Cas swallowed the lump in his throat. That did sound nice, but... "I'm sorry Dean. Maybe another time, but right now, I can't."
The girl looked between them. "Do you two need a minute? Or a room?"
Dean ignored the last part. "Yeah, maybe."
She shrugged. "Call me when you're ready," she stated, then trotted off to her desk.
Dean frowned after her, then turned to Cas. "What's wrong?"
Cas looked down. "I can't. My parents would kill me."
Dean laughed. "Well, I'll give you that. Your parents would go off the roof if they saw it. Kinda be funny to see, though," he said, nudging Cas with his elbow.
   Cas didn't respond.
Dean sighed. "Fine. I have another idea." He whispered something into Cas's ear. "Okay?"
   Cas smiled. "Okay."
Dean called to the girl. "We're ready!"
The girl walked back. "What'd you decide?"
"I'll get a handprint. On my shoulderblade."
   The girl stared. "I'm sorry?"
Dean grinned that amazing grin right at Cas, and Cas filled up with warmth. "Cas's handprint. So I'll always know he's got my back."
Cas could tell the girl was struggling not to roll her eyes. Cas had to admit, it was pretty sappy, especially for Dean, who never partook in sappy stuff. Cas was honestly shocked at the words Dean had just emitted from his mouth.
Cas put his hand on Dean's left shoulder.
  Dean looked back at him.
"No matter what hell I go through, I know you'll always be there to lift me out."
Cas smiled slightly. "You bet, buddy. You bet."

Kinda a sappy ending, I know. I almost threw up writing it. But I really wanted to end it with a reference to how the actual Destiel met canonically, so... yeah. Tell me what y'all think!

Study In Scarlet

For the past few days I have been reading "A Study In Scarlet", the book "The Study In Pink" is based on. Right now I am reading, I am assuming, Jennifer Wilkins's, the pink lady from above cases, backstory. It is incredible long winded and boring. However, it might lead to another possible cases. Look for updates.

New Idea: Sims 3- Fandom Style!

Last weekend, my brother broke my 3DS. My dad said he'd try to fix it, and if he can't, I'll buy another one, but the point is, we'll have to pause on the Fandom Run of Pokemon Y. So, while we wait, I thought you might like to try something else, that might be a little more interesting to all of you: I'm gonna play my Sims 3, but I'm going to make every character a character from a different fandom. I'll put them all in a house together, and watch how they interact. Sound fun? My first post will be immediately after I make them, so check back to see all the info on the charactersims!

Frozen- Giant Metaphor for Homosexuality?

A new Disney movie has taken the world by storm: Frozen. It's a movie nearly anyone can connect to: from the socially awkward Anna to the insane love-doctor trolls. But there's one character, the only one who was pivotal to the plot, who might portray a hidden meaning: Elsa, the queen of Arendelle. You've probably heard this rumor at some point: Elsa, along with her powers, symbolize the struggle that LGBTQ people, particularly youth, go through every day.
It starts with the trolls at the beginning: They warn Elsa's family of impending danger. The exact words they use are:
"Fear will be your enemy."
What they mean has been understood in two ways: I'm only going to look at the first, most obvious one- that if people ever found out about Elsa's powers, the fear that they would feel towards her would only get her hurt. They tell Elsa to hide her powers at any cost. This is the first connection to closeted LGBTQ youth: they are told by society that if they ever came out of the closet, people's fear (or homophobia) would only make their lives worse.
This keeps Elsa- and by extension the LGBTQ youth- hidden. The mantra repeated throughout the movie begins when they are stuck hiding who they really are:
"Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know."
This connects to both situations.
Later, the prophecy comes to pass: Elsa's powers are inadvertently revealed, and her kingdom turns against her. This is similar to the disapproving family and friends when they find out about LGBTQ youth's true selves.
This brings us to the showstopper song: Let It Go. This song could be considered Elsa coming out of the closet and finally accepting herself for who she is. Some lyrics in the song are as follows:
"Don't let them know, well now they know!"
"Let it go, let it go!"
"Can't hold it back anymore... turn away and slam the door!"
"I don't care, what they're going to say!"
"You'll never see me cry."
"That perfect girl is gone!"
"Here I stand, and here I'll stay!"
"Let the storm rage on, the cold never bothered me anyway."
These lyrics all show how Elsa- and the LGBTQ youth- finally learn to accept themselves for who they are.
There's a lot more, but these were the main points. So what do all of you think? This is all just pure speculation, but I have heard a lot of different people sharing this opinion.

Volunteer Work!!!

Today, me and ~The Hidden Minnie went to a volunteer place called Medshare. Basically, you sort unused medical supplies that otherwise would have ended up in the landfill. After it's sorted, it's sent to Third World countries. We spent three hours sorting and packaging drapes. Who knew there were so many kinds of drapes??? Well, we're on our way back to our respective homes, so I decided I'd update all of y'all. Catch you later!

Valentine's Day Morlock Fanfic

In response to ~The Hidden Minnie's Valentine's post, I decided to take her suggestion of doing a fanfic for an OTP. One of my main OTP's is Morlock, or Moriarty x Sherlock (don't judge, they just have a lot of chemistry and I NEED THEM TOGETHER). So anyways, here it is. I haven't written a fanfic in a looong time, so I might be a little rusty. But anyways, enjoy!

NOTE: I DO NOT OWN SHERLOCK, ANY OF THE SHERLOCK CHARACTERS, OR ANYTHING IN THIS WORK.

"So, did you?"
Sherlock turned around from looking at the smiley face on his apartment wall. He already recognized the voice. In fact, he had known for a while that he would be hearing that voice again.
"Moriarty. How nice to make your acquaintance once more. Did I what?"
Moriarty laughed.
"Well, duh, buddy. Surely you heard of my return. So, didja miss me?"
Sherlock glared. "Why would I miss you? You nearly ruined my life."
Moriarty smiled widely, the grin that of a shark. "But it was exciting, was it not? Oh, how much fun we had. And now, we get to have more fun. Isn't that grand?" He began to dance around the room, brushing his hand over the bookcases and tables.
"Don't. Touch. Anything."
Moriarty stopped. "And why ever not? I'm not hear to play tricks with you. Not yet, at least. The tricks come later. And oh, will there be tricks."
He began to look at Sherlock in a strange way. Moriarty always looked at Sherlock in a strange way, but this was different.
A word popped up in Sherlock's mind. Endearment.
"Why are you here?" Sherlock wondered.
"Well, I came to give you your reward!" Moriarty squealed.
"Reward?"
Moriarty began to laugh hysterically. He fell on the ground, tears streaming from his eyes as he guffawed.
Taken aback, Sherlock hesitated before grabbing Moriarty's collar and hauling him up.
"What, may I ask, is so funny?"
Moriarty wiped tears from his eyes. "I always win."
"I'm sorry?"
"I always win. In every encounter I've ever been in, every battle I've ever fought, I always win. No one has beaten me. No one's even come close." Moriarty began to talk in a singsong voice. "Except for you."
"Yes, I beat you. So you want revenge. What else is new?"
Moriarty began to laugh the madman's laugh again.
Sherlock slapped him, hard."What. Is. So. Funny?"
Moriarty reached out a hand and cupped Sherlock's face. "I don't want revenge, my dear Sherlock. I already said why I'm here."
"Very well, then. Where is this 'reward'?"
"Right here," said Moriarty, as he leaned in close.
Sherlock didn't comprehend what was happening until Moriarty's lips touched his.
Suddenly, all thought ceased. His mind became devoid of reason, a palace of pure emotion.
The kiss was fairly gentle, as if, for once in his life, Moriarty was unsure of what he was doing. It was different than Irene's had been. Irene's had been passion, lust. It had shoved his brain into hyperactivity. Moriarty's was different. It was somewhat sweet, and eclipsed anything Sherlock had ever felt before.
His hand slid into Sherlock's hair, and his other hand slid up his chest. He moaned softly, and bit Sherlock's lower lip ever so gently.
"What. The hell. Is going on!" a voice said from the door.
Sherlock gasped as he broke free. "John- I- I-"
John stood there, looking furious.
Moriarty grinned, leaned up, and slid his eyes to John. Slowly, deliberately, he gave Sherlock's ear a nibble.
John balled his fist.
"What's the matter, Johnny? Mad that Sherlock prefers the Consultant Criminal over the Married Militant? Congrats on the wedding, by the way. She seems like a killer of a wife."
John turned to Sherlock and began yelling. "Why the hell would you be doing- doing that- with HIM?"
Sherlock shook his head. "I-I-I-"
Moriarty smiled. "Loss for words. Just shows how amazing I am." He grinned his shark's grin at Sherlock, causing his breathing to hitch. Why couldn't he breath? He had no problem five minutes ago with the same grin!
"Can you leave, Johnny-boy? We have some business to attend to," Moriarty sang out.
John shook his head as tears started forming in his eyes. "Did it EVER occur to you he's tricking you? He's playing with you? Of course not. I guess I'm the real smart one here. Well, whatever. I'm going home to MY WIFE!" he shouted the last part before whipping around and rushing down the stairs.
Sherlock looked down. "He's right. That's all this is. A trick."
Moriarty smiled again. "It's not. You beat me. Your reward is simple. It's something no one else has ever gotten, or ever will get. Me."
"Of course. I'm supposed to believe the mastermind criminal, the one who threatened to kill my friends if I didn't kill myself, is now willing to give that all up and love me?"
Moriarty shrugged. "Well, it is a rather fairytale ending, is it not?"
Sherlock growled, finally giving in. He grabbed Moriarty, shoved him against the wall, and smashed their mouths together, groaning and licking and biting. As he picked him up and began to carry him to the bedroom, only two sentences could heard amidst the moaning.
"Yes. I missed you."

So what did you guys think? Did you like it? It certainly made me feel better about Valentine's Day! So, happy Valentine's Day everyone! If you liked it, feel free to comment and tell me so! If you have advice, feel free to comment and tell me so! I love all feedback!

Season of Love

Well, it's That time of year again. The one holiday that sparks a feeling of either complete twitterpation (#Bambi), or complete loneliness. You've probably seen commercial after commercial of fine jewlary that would be perfect for your significant other. Or you walk down the isle at any grocery store and see a vast colony of red and pink hearts and flowers. And the words "Valentine's" and "Day" put together just send either a chill of resentment or a feeling of love and affection throughout your body. To be honest, everyone in this world has their own view of Valentine's Day differently, but to those who are involved in fandoms, February 14 comes as a day where we stop and realize that our hearts aren't broken by our favorite shows, books, and movies all the time. But if you still cannot feel the love, here are some ways to help you at least try not to cry (or maybe they will, I don't know. I'm not you) :
1. Watch anything that empowers the single life. It's ok if they hint at a romantic relationship a little bit, but it's best if the protagonist is single throughout the movie.
2. Write some fan fiction on your favorite OTP. You currently may not be having a great Valentine's Day but you'll feel a whole lot better knowing that your favorite OTP has a chance at a day for love.
3. Eat a bunch of chocolate. The one and only remedy for a lonely heart. Eat as much as you'd like. See's Candy is in an abundance of delicious goodies this time of year.

Then there are those like me who actually don't mind this holiday, and use it as a chance to do any of the following:
1. Watch any and/or all Disney Princess movies.
2. Read your favorite romance book. I recommend either Dream Factory by Brad Barkley & Heather Hepler or Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin.
3. Sing at least one love song. Might I suggest "Love Is an Open Door", or "A Whole New World", or... oh just sing anything Disney today.
4. Let the most important people in your life know how much you appreciate their presence in your life. (These people can be either realistic or fictionalized, whichever floats your boat.)

There you go. Two list of possible ways to spend February 14. Just be careful what treats you may accept from other people. They may be supplied with an unwanted love potion of some sort...

It's Peter Pan's Birthday...Even though he can't grow up

Today's the day we celebrate the joy of a boy who never grows up (#mylifeambition). Flying out onto the screen on this day 61 years ago in 1953, the Walt Disney Company introduced us to the world that lies in the second star to the right and straight on till morning. To celebrate this special birthday here is a list of some things one can do to celebrate:
1. Watch the movie and sing all the songs. Bonus points for doing it with a group of friends.
2. Carry around a cute teddy bear like Michael.
3. If you see a lost shadow running around, lock it up in a drawer. It's owner might come by to clam it soon and will probably talk you into coming with him to Neverland.
4. Follow the leader wherever he may go.
5. Have a dog (preferably a St. Bernard) be your nanny for the day.
6. Check out your local mermaid lagoon. However, make sure the mermaids that hang out there are nice and will happily welcome anyone new.
7. Dress up in a full animal costume like a Lost Boy.
8. Go up against Captain Hook in a sword fight on his ship.
9. Just think of the happiest things.
And finally
10. Always have Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust!!!

Not sure if any of you saw the preview for new things on Masterpiece but ...

One word... Breathless

You all have no idea how long I have been waiting for this show. I saw a lot of gifs and previews on Tumblr, and, *fangirl scream*.

(Remember when I said Norrington was one of the main reasons I wanted to see PotC 5? Well, Jack Davenport, who plays Norrington, is in Breathless, and, uh, brb fangirling so hard over here. )

~ Christina Norrington

Mary Watson

Back again. Me and ~Hidden Minnie kind of guessed Mary was a bad influence on John, and now we're right. Well, big surprise there, I guess.

OKAY, ONE MORE TIME: PROPOSAL!!

SHERLOCK PROPOSED TO HIS AWFUL GIRLFRIEND WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK THIS EPISODE HAS BEEN FULL OF SHOCK MOMENTS ~THE HIDDEN MINNIE HAS HER SHOCK BLANKET AND WE'RE ALL DYING. ~SAM IS TRYING EXTREMELY HARD TO DELETE SOMETHING FROM HER MIND PALACE, AND I'M KINDA IN SHOCK. I KNOW MORLOCK COULD NEVER HAPPEN, GIVEN MORIARTY IS INCAPICATED, BUT STILL...
~A very emotional Cas

What the heck is wrong with Magnussen??

Sorry to be back so soon, but it's rant time.
WHAT THE HECK IS MAGNUSSEN'S PROBLEM????? HE FREAKING LICKS THAT WOMEN'S FACE, AND THEN HE PEES IN A FIREPLACE! DOES HE HAVE NO MANNERS? DOES HE NOT REMEMBER WHAT HIS MOTHER TAUGHT HIM?? OR DID HIS MOTHER NOT TEACH HIM THAT PEEING IN A FIREPLACE IS NOT OKAY?? COME ON MAN. IF YOU'RE GONNA BE A BUSINESS MAN, ACT LIKE ONE.
~A very pissed off Cas

Wait... SHERLOCK HAS A GIRLFRIEND????

So we're watching "His Last Vow..." and... if you couldn't tell... we just found out SHERLOCK HAS A GIRLFRIEND!?!?!?! First Molly (although that's over, thank God), now Sherlock??? We predict it will end by the episode's finish, but still... WHAAAAT? Most of us are Sherlolly shippers- I myself am a Morlock shipper- so the Knights are quite hopeful that Sherlolly will happen!

Fandom Run of Y: Bug Badge

So I made it through the first part of my journey! Here's my team so far:

Neville, my wizard Fennekin. He doesn't look very magical now, but he will soon.

Hawkeye, my archer Pidgey. Again, doesn't particularly look like a hawk now, but he will.

So that's all for now! I'm already planning ahead for possible fandom characters. I'll probably change my team around a few times during the game, so stay tuned!

Then  it is time to go dormant until next session. Which, according to the internet is going to be arriving in LESS THEN A YEAR! *fangirl squeal*
~Sam
P.S. I wonder if there will be anymore hidden letters in the credits of this episode.

Fandom Run of Y

For those fan girls and boys that also play the modest game of Pokemon, I decided to start a fandom run of Pokemon Y. I will be catching, naming, and basing my team off of various fandom characters. Tune in to see my team after every gym!
